My temporary solution to level design

One of the awesome things about game development is when you are tired of one problem you can go fix a bunch of other problems, and level design was no different. I made a gas station model and kind of gotten stuck. However I did learn how to make height maps in Blender. The task I am going to side step to is making a bunch of modular 3D models, like this gas station and when I have a bunch of components of a map made I will "snap" together the pieces to make a level. This makes the assets more reusable and map creation a lot easier for me.
